A lonely bench awaits the company of a weary skier on a trail curve at the Bubolz Nature Preserve on the outskirts of Appleton WI. The preserve has eight miles of ski trails through a mature cedar forest.
The scene looks so pristine, I can only imagine being in snow that looks so deep, and the bench looks so forlorn waiting for someone to knock the snow off.

it’s a very neat winter-scene, must be good sitting here in springtime.

it looks so cold that I think I’ll keep moving. This looks nice full-size.

Nothing quite conveys the isolation of winter as a snow covered bench sitting by a snow covered path.

If you don’t mind, I don’t think I will have a seat to admire the beautiful scenery! Looks a little cold! 🙂

That is a lonely bench the snow on the seat proves that.

No one wants to sit right now, but I take it in early May we will be fighting for a spot!

Super crop and balance to this photo. It is very calming to look at and imagine sitting on that bench.
