Children’s Toys

John had to be literally dragged away from this Nash pedal car . . .  he kept mumbling about having to settle for his homemade wooden fruit crate on skates when he was a kid.

  1. He weakens easily, I would have dug my heels in! Women can be so cruel.

  4. Hi Lois,
What a memory, as children me and my siblings had a pedal car, it didn’t look like this one, but it sure was fun. Have a great day!

What a classic “toy.” Though I doubt no one in their right mind would allow a child near this historical piece. It almost looks like the headlights are on.

  6. This is beautiful. We had a wooden one two – built on a set of pram wheels if I remember correctly.

  7. So wonderful – beeing a child never had an approximately so expensive toy

  8. Yeah … I’m with you John. Sometimes it doesn’t seem fair. Although I seem to remember a lot of fun times with wooden crate ‘cars.’

  9. This museum couldn’t ask for better advertising than your photographs. They make me want to make a pilgrimage all the way from the other side of the country! I so enjoy your shots and processing. 🙂

  12. doesn’t seem fair – a car that was made to be played with just shut away in a glass box… at least the boxes on wheels had fun 😉

  17. It is understandable why John became glued to this display over the top cool who wouldn’t want a toy like this!
