One explanation of why the poinsettia plant is a tradititional Christmas decoration is that its cheerful bright red leaves are reminicent of Santa’s coat.

  2. That’s interesting as they bloom in June downunder, but then Santa strips down to his singlet and boardshorts when he does his rounds here. Happy Festive Season
