A book stack in Memorial Library.

I love old books and photos of old books like that make me want to grab one off the shelf and have a read. What were they? And, why the lockable cupboards below and the cage door? The golden colours of the books look great against the battleship grey of the shelving.

That’s a fascinating photo. Sometimes I worry that future generations will know what a library is only through pictures.

Always lots of treasure to be found in a book stack, looks like you struck some gold.

Beautiful old books. I love libraries but hate to admit that I haven’t been inside one for awhile.Spent many an hour inside them as a kid and with my girls too.

I love the warmth of the old bindings contrasted with the metal shelving. Beautifully composed too.
