Quirky

Georgia O’Keefe painted an oil on canvas titled Cow’s Skull with Calico Roses in 1931. Sun-bleached bones and skulls scattered about a desert were beautiful to her. This skull with roses was used to decorate the Mitchell Park desert dome in deference to Ms O’Keefe, a Sun Prairie, Wisconsin native.
