Not Fade Away

Not Fade Away

The engraving of a stagecoach robbery on the revolver’s cylinder is almost lost among the pistol’s patina. The side view of the coach’s front and rear wheels with the body between and above them can barely be seen here.

Percussion caps would be placed on the cylinder nipples to be struck by the hammer when the trigger is pulled.  The rectangular depressions adjacent to the nipples allows the cylinder to be turned by a small lever when the hammer is cocked back, aligning the next chamber to be fired.

  4. Really nice details. The engraving on the cylinder is quite interesting. I never would have expected someone to do that.
