Photo a Day Challenge

About Us

I am a retired high school administrative assistant who shares a love of outdoors and photography with John, my husband of 50+ years.  John is a retired teacher. During our retirement years we have discovered the joys and challenges of digital photography.

John and I capture new memories while exploring new and old back roads in one of our two vintage Triumph sports cars.

With this blog we hope to stretch our imaginations and learn to look at the world with a more observant and understanding eye. We also hope to learn to use our cameras and improve our editing skills.

Hi John! Finally got to your website. I never even heard of a P-64 fighter!

We spoke a while at Walgreens on Northland Avenue in Appleton a few weeks ago. I’m the guy with the silver Mitsubishi Spyder who parked next to you.

    Some seriously good images!

    All the best!

I was just sent a link to your blog, love the concept. As a new amateur photographer there is so much to learn. ‘Seeing’ things through the eye of a lens often captures a feeling or essence which the naked eye misses. It is a wonderful thing…

  7. I just got to the “about” section of your blog and realize the theme. I am 68 and thoughts of retirement pop up almost daily and truthfully scare me. Big questions are what do I do for the next 20 years and how do I pay for my toys?
