Plastic
We remember the plastics of the ‘50s as frequently cheap and artless. Not so with these displays.
Motion
Many of the displays offered simple motion and animation which can’t compete with the electronic media available to today’s youngsters . . . but we really enjoyed them.
Innocence
These innocent looking snow babies drew oohs and aahs from the young children who viewed them through the Prange Department Store windows during the 1960-70s. The store chain has disappeared, but a large part of their Christmas display has found new life at the Neville Public Museum in Green Bay, WI . . . much to our delight.
