Turbulent
The fast flowing Fox River caused some turbulence as it flowed over branches and other objects in its way, including the boardwalk which was closed ahead of us.
Boy/Silky
The male stood still enough to allow a 1/30 sec. shutter speed, slow enough to render a silky river.
Distant
This cropped image from a 300 mm lens brought us as close as we could get to an eagle on the other side of the river at the Thousand Islands Conservancy Zone. The Zone encompasses 350 acres and includes seven miles of trails.
Wilderness
A meandering boardwalk provides access to otherwise undisturbed nature through the wilderness of the Thousand Island Conservancy Zone near Kaukauna, WI. The 2000 ft. boardwalk is part of a riverside trail.
