Motionless

Colorful but motionless hot air balloons and kites hover above a fantastic village.

  1. Motionless and silent too, how is it that you’re on the same level? Shooting from the balcony?

    • The walkways and ramps wind up and down around and through all the various displays. The village under the balloons and kites leads out of the House on the Rock and back to reality. We did enjoy our tour through the fantastical collections.

  2. Politicians should use those as they provide their own hot air and can keep going forever, LOL

  4. Hi Lois,
Beautiful balloons and kites. I can just imagine them flying away into the sky. Have a great day!

I’m loving these photos of floatig objects. They really do remind me of illustrations in a children’s book.

Fun and colorful. I became a fan of miniatures after seeing the room at the Chicago Art Institute.

  9. The way you chose to frame this picture with the brightly colored balloons in foreground makes this image very strong. Nicely done.

  10. I like seeing the balloons against the black “sky”…a scene we don’t normally see. It really highlights their colors. I’d forgotten this aspect of House on the Rock.
